Frequently Asked Questions
Are boys and toddlers allowed to come to camp?
Absolutely! There are separate units for boys and PeeWees at camp. PeeWees need to be potty-trained prior to attending camp. Boys under 13 years old can attend. There is a $15 fee for each day they are at camp. They attend activities around camp and have fun exploring! There should be a parent/guardian volunteering on the same day they are attending.
What is the dress code?
Everyone is expected to come to camp with close-toed shoes (no Crocs or flip flops). All campers and adults should wear shirts that cover the shoulders for sun protection (no halter tops, tank tops, or tube tops). It is recommended to wear a bandana or hat also for sun protection. Please dress appropriately for the environment and the terrain!
When are cooking days?
Campers will cook on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If your camper or adult does not like the food choice, they are welcome to bring a cold lunch. Please notify the unit leader or nurse of food allergies if they are severe.
Should campers bring a snack/lunch to camp?
Snack is provided daily. If your camper does not like the snack, they should bring their own. Lunch will be provided on cooking days.
If you or your child has food allergies, there is a potential for cross-contamination when preparing food.
What should campers pack?
What is the ratio of campers to adults?
For every 5-8 campers, there should be 1 adult. Each unit should have a minimum of 2 adults and potentially more for cooking days.
Anyone over 18 can volunteer (grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends, etc.)!
Who should you contact for absences or early/late pick up?

What if registration is too expensive?
There is an option to apply for financial assistance when completing registration. Please note, there is a required minimum deposit you will still have to pay. Council will email a form that must be filled out to process your request. Everything during this process is completely confidential. If there are any questions, you can contact council at 800-565-4475.
What if my camper has medications/epi-pens?

All medications will be turned in at flag to the health supervisor and administered according to the Health Information form on CampMinder. No medication can be kept in the camper's backpack EXCEPT epi-pens and inhalers.
